What Is Sensitive Personal Information?

Sensitive personal information includes:

  • Social Security number, driver's license number, or state identification number

  • Precise geolocation data
  • Racial or ethnic origin
  • Religious or philosophical beliefs
  • Union membership
  • Contents of mail, email, or text messages (unless we are the intended recipient)
  • Genetic data
  • Health information — including information you may provide about health conditions or insurance needs
  • Sex life or sexual orientation information

How Coverage Cove Uses Sensitive Data

Coverage Cove may collect limited sensitive personal information in the course of connecting you with licensed insurance agents:

  • Health-related information: If you describe health conditions or medication needs when asking about health or life insurance coverage, this information may be shared with licensed agents to help identify relevant coverage options
  • Location data: Your zip code or state is used to connect you with agents licensed in your area

We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account details, genetic data, or biometric information.

How to Limit Use

You may request that we limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to only what is necessary to provide the services you request. Submit your request by:

Effect of Limiting Use

  • We will not share health-related information with insurance agents unless you explicitly request to be connected
  • Your ability to receive personalized insurance connections may be limited
